This Privacy Policy describes how Elektroimportoren AS ("we", "us", or "our")
collects, uses, and shares information when you use the EI Selger mobile
application ("the App"). The App is a point-of-sale tool used by authorized
employees and sales staff of Elektroimportoren AS.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Login credentials: Username and password used to authenticate with the App.
- Customer data: Customer information entered during sales transactions, including customer numbers and order details.
- Stock reports: Inventory data and stock correction reports submitted through the App.
Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: We collect your device location to identify the nearest warehouse and to support store-related functionality. Location access is requested with your permission.
- Camera data: The App uses your device camera for barcode scanning of products. Images are processed locally and are not stored or transmitted.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Authenticate employees and manage user sessions
- Process sales transactions and manage customer orders
- Manage inventory and stock reporting
- Identify the nearest warehouse location
- Enable barcode scanning for product lookup
- Process payments through integrated payment providers (Vipps, invoice, SMS)
- Improve App performance and troubleshoot issues
Data Sharing
We may share your information with:
- Elektroimportoren backend services: For processing orders, managing inventory, and user authentication.
- Payment processors: Vipps and other payment providers to process transactions.
- Firebase: For push notifications and analytics.
- Google Maps: For displaying warehouse locations on a map.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
Data is stored on secure servers operated by Elektroimportoren AS. The App
uses encrypted HTTPS connections for all communication with our servers. Local
data on your device (such as cached cart and session information) is stored
using the device's secure storage mechanisms.
Data Retention
User session data is retained for up to 7 days of inactivity. Transaction and
order data is retained in accordance with Norwegian accounting and tax
regulations. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
Your Rights
Under Norwegian and EU data protection law (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data

Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions:
- Camera: Required for barcode scanning functionality.
- Location: Used to find the nearest warehouse.
- Storage: Used to cache data locally for offline functionality.
